How the Panama schedule works
The Panama schedule uses the same 2-2-3 rhythm as Pitman but rotates every crew between day and night shifts, so nobody is stuck on permanent nights.
Each crew works the 14-day 2-2-3 cycle on 12-hour day shifts, then repeats it on 12-hour night shifts. The whole rotation takes 28 days.
Four crews are staggered by one week, so on any day one crew is on days, one is on nights, and two are off.
Like Pitman, every crew gets every other weekend off as a 3-day weekend.
